Fun way of multiplication

Place your fingers as in the below image and number the fingers from 1 to 10.

Example

Consider the multiplication of 4 × 9.

Step 1:

Here 4 is to be multiplied by 9.

So, fold the 4th finger and count the ones before the folded finger.

Number of fingers before the folded finger = 3 fingers

Multiply the number by 10, = 3 × 10 = 30 -----> (1)

(as shown in the below figure)

Step 2:

Count the fingers after the folded finger = 6 -----> (2)

(as shown in the below figure)

Step 3:

Add (1) and (2),

= 30 + 6 = 36

Therefore the solution to our problem 4 × 9 = 36 is easily found using the above trick.

Note:

If there is no finger below/above the considered (folded) finger, then consider the value as zero (0).

Vegetable stuffed Omelette SS#2

Ingredients:

2 eggs
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder to taste
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tbsps of grated cheese

For stuffing:
2 shallots, finely sliced
1 1/2 tbsps grated carrot
1 tbsp capsicum, finely chopped or sliced
2 french beans, finely chopped
1/4 cup chopped spinach
1 1/2 tbsps finely chopped cabbage
Pinch of red chili powder
Salt to taste
2-3 tsps olive oil

Preparation Method:

• Heat 3 tsps oil in a pan, add shallots and saute for 2-3 mins. Add rest of the vegetables and spinach and saute for 7-8 mins. Season with salt and chili powder. Turn off heat and keep aside.
• Break 2 eggs in a bowl add milk, salt, pepper powder and whisk till frothy.
• Take a pan, drizzle a tbsp of oil, and heat it for half a mt on medium flame.
• Pour the whisked egg mixture into the pan and swirl it around to spread evenly. Reduce flame to low and allow to cook for a min and flip over. Cook for a few seconds.
• Flip the omelet again and place the sauteed vegetables on half of the omelet. Sprinkle grated cheese and cover the vegetables with the other half of the omelette and cook for a few secs.
• Remove the omelette onto a serving plate and serve with tomato ketchup.

 

 

 

Maths Tricks TTh#1

Here we have mentioned few math trick play. You can play these tricks as instructed, with your parents or friends and prove your talent to them.

Trick 1: Number below 10
Step1: Think of a number below 10.
Step2: Double the number you have thought.
Step3: Add 6 with the getting result.
Step4: Half the answer, that is divide it by 2.
Step5: Take away the number you have thought from the answer, that is, subtract the answer from the number you have thought.

Answer is always  3

Trick 2: Any Number
Step1: Think of any number.
Step2: Subtract the number you have thought with 1.
Step3: Multiply the result with 3.
Step4: Add 12 with the result.
Step5: Divide the answer by 3.
Step6: Add 5 with the answer.
Step7: Take away the number you have thought from the answer, that is, subtract the answer from the number you have thought.

Answer is always  8

Cheese Snack Cutlet SS#1

CHEESE SNACK CUTLET

Ingredients: 

1. 1Cup boiled mashed potatoes
2. 1cup chopped fenugreek leaves
3. 1tbsp chutney powder
4. 1/2 cup grated Cheese Block
5. salt
6. oil
7. green chillies(optional)
8. breadcrumbs

Preparation Method

• Mix together the fenugreek leaves, salt, green chillies, chutney powder with boiled potatoes. 
• Take a small portion of the mixture, smoothen it in the hand, make a depression in the middle, place little cheese,  enclose it with the mixture, cover well, toss with breadcrumbs & flatten shape like a tikki.
• Pan fry to golden, Make all the tikkis the same way.
• Serve hot with tomato sauce, mint chutney or cream cheese dip.

What is a FACT family in Maths

In a mathematical equation, all the numbers included in the equation are considered to be a family and can inter-relate. For example, 2 + 3 = 5; as a family, these numbers can relate in other ways. 5 - 2 = 3, 5 - 3 = 2, 2 + 3 = 5, 5 - 3 = 2. 2, 3, and 5 are the numbers included in the family.

Thirty days hath September is a traditional English mnemonic rhyme, of which many variants are commonly used in English-speaking countries to remember the lengths of the months in the Julian and Gregorian calendars.

The words  to "Thirty days hath September" are used by many adults to prompt them into recalling how many days there are in each month! It's therefore often referred to as the Days of the Month Rhyme! The origin  of the lyrics to "Thirty days hath September" are obscure but use of olde English can date this poem back to at least the 16th century. 

In the coming days you will surely be found muttering the words of the "Thirty days hath September" poem

Thirty days hath September,

       April, June, and November.

All the rest have thirty-one,

     Excepting February alone,

And that has twenty-eight days clear,

      And twenty-nine in each leap year.

The French typically use a mnemonic by counting on the knuckles of one's hand to remember the numbers of days of the months.Count knuckles as 31 days, depressions between knuckles as 30 (or 28/29) days. 

Start with the index finger knuckle as January, and count one finger at a time towards the little finger knuckle (July), saying the months as you go. Then jump back to the index finger knuckle (now August) and continue for the remaining months.

One variant of this approach differs after reaching the little finger knuckle (July): instead of wrapping around back to the index finger, some people reverse direction and continue from the little finger knuckle (counting it for both July and August) and ending on the middle finger knuckle. 
Still others use two hands (as shown in the diagram, right): starting with the little finger knuckle of the left hand proceed to the left index finger knuckle, then (swapping hands) jump to the right fist's index finger knuckle for August, finishing on the knuckle of the right ring finger (December).
